Bad Writing Contest

Litt apropo 100-beste bøker og slikt; Philosophy og Literature hadde i noen år en Bad Writing Contest hvis formål var "to celebrate the most stylistically lamentable passages found in scholarly books and articles published in the last few years". Litt sånn til glede for alle som har kjempet seg gjennom artikler og bøker skrevet på outrageous academese (prøvde å oversette, men det høres fjongest ut på engelsk...). For å gi et eksempel så vant Judith Butler med denne skjønnheten i 1998:
